About Us

In the early 1970s, Lee and Bill expanded Stratton Lumber’s reach by launching Kashway Home Center, a subsidiary designed to serve the growing “Do-It-Yourself” market. The store offered a full line of  hardware, appliances, paint, wallpaper, and unfinished furniture—bringing hands-on solutions to homeowners and builders across Central Kentucky. Bill managed the business while Lee taught business courses at Jessamine County High School for 13 years. Outside the classroom, Lee pursued her creative passions: collecting and constructing dollhouses and miniatures, needlework, and gardening—hobbies that reflected her eye for detail and love of craftsmanship.
